Gohan leaves to recruit Piccolo, while Goku prepares to head to the Lookout.
He encounters Majin Buu and Mr. Satan training, and discovers that Buu has transformed into a form physically similar to his old Super Buu form.
The two spar, and Buu defeats Goku by overwhelming him with ki blasts, bum-rushing him, and knocking him out of the fighting stage.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Kai of Universe 11 gathers all of the Supreme Kais involved in the tournament except the one from Universe 7, who is ostracized due to Goku's involvement with the creation of the tournament.
The Supreme Kai of Universe 11 asks his fellow Kais to request that Zenō-sama cancel the destruction of the universes, but they are all too afraid of his wrath to do so.
The universes begin to gather their strongest warriors in preparation for the tournament; Universe 11's Toppo recruits his fellow Pride Troopers Dyspo and Kahseral and resolves to find Jiren.
Universe 6's Champa recruits Cabba and demands he find more powerful Saiyans.
Goku meets Dende at the Lookout and learns No. 17's location while Gohan prepares to train with Piccolo.
